What is your title? What do you do at Rung?
I am the Volunteer and Community Engagement Coordinator.
What do you like most about working at Rung?
The culture at Rung is unlike any other organization! The team is so collaborative, welcoming, and passionate about our mission. I love working at an organization that aligns with my personal values. It has been incredible working with alumni as they come back to volunteer. I love seeing how Rung has made such a profound impact in their lives.
What has been your favorite project to work on?
Recruiting volunteers for ProPS has been my favorite project so far. I loved getting to know the volunteers and finding the right fit for the role.

Audre Lorde and Bell Hooks (Gloria Jean Watkins)
How have you grown since working at Rung?
I have developed more confidence and become more passionate about supporting our local community.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I spend most of my free time with dogs. I am a volunteer with Stray Rescue. I also have two rescue dogs of my own.
What book, podcast, artist, or playlist are you currently into?
I am a big reader. The most recent ones have been Solito, One Hundred Years of Solitude, and The Black Angels.
