AmeriCorps Opportunity: Rung Visual Communications VISTA

Goal of the Project:
The Visual Communications VISTA member will build the capacity of Rung for Women’s social media and marketing by creating a library of visual assets to improve Rung’s ability to communicate about its holistic programs benefiting women from St. Louis metro area. As a result of the VISTA member’s service, Rung for Women will be able to draw from a range of visual assets for communicating with a variety of stakeholders, including potential and current supporters; potential and current members, and Rung alumni.

Benefits of the Position: This is a year-long service opportunity that includes a: $15,000 living stipend, medical insurance, and End of Service Award provided through AmeriCorps. 

Objective of the Assignment (02/2022 – 02/2023)
Create visual assets (illustrations, photos, video, brochures, posters, etc.) to communicate the Rung member experience and the program’s impact for use in member, donor, and volunteer recruitment.

Member Activities: 

  • Develop branded visual assets to communicate the Rung member experience
  • Design brochures, posters, webpages, digital assets, and other documents to build Rung’s capacity for member recruitment
  • Document the Rung member experience and impact of the program by creating a photo and video library

Objective of the Assignment (02/2022 – 02/2023) 

The Visual Communications VISTA will establish a brand asset library of visual graphics and assets that will be used by internal stakeholders (staff, resident collaborators, etc.) to communicate program offerings to Rung members and alumni.

Member Activities: 

  • Create visual graphics to complete a brand asset library for Rung staff purposes
  • Train Rung staff on how to utilize the brand assets to effectively communicate consistent visual brand language of the organization
  • Create a brand guidebook to explain and support how the organization will utilize the brand asset library.
  • Train Rung staff on how to utilize the brand assets to effectively communicate consistent visual brand language of the organization
