During the past year and a half, you may have noticed a shift in Rung for Women’s branding, website, and social updates. Our upgraded aesthetic is thanks to Rung’s Visual Communications Coordinator, Sheena Wong, who has guided us in a renewed direction towards a bold, upward trajectory.

Learn more about Sheena and the work that she’s done while at Rung for Women:

What do you like most about working at Rung?

As a single parent, I appreciate the flexibility that Rung offers. Juggling a career with raising a kid comes with challenges, so it’s nice to work from home some days and be there for my daughter. Besides that, we have a great team of talented people here at Rung. Working with women who are so dedicated to the mission and supportive has been empowering.

What has been your favorite project to work on?

There have been so many great projects! But I’d have to say the ones I enjoy the most are the stickers and the “Drag Dollas” (for Drag Me to Brunch) because I can be more creative and have fun with them.

Who are your personal sheroes, women you look up to?

There are so many! I’ll keep the list short; otherwise, we’d be here all day. My older sister, Kieran, has been a shero to me since childhood. I admire Serena Williams, Billie Jean King, Michelle Yeoh,  Kamala Harris, and Amy Tan.

What do you like to do in your free time?

No one at Rung will be surprised to learn that I love to play tennis and pickleball in my free time. My daughter and I also enjoy playing board games and reading.

How have you grown since working at Rung?

I feel that I’ve grown both professionally and personally in my time at Rung. As a designer, all our different projects have allowed me to learn new skills and grow my existing ones. At the same time, the wellness and professional development opportunities have let me learn more about myself and expand my interests.

We are fortunate to have Sheena on Team Rung and cannot wait to see what she creates next.
