AmeriCorps Opportunity: Rung Marketing & Strategy VISTA

Goal of the Project:
The Marketing & Strategy VISTA member will build the capacity of Rung for Women’s social media and marketing efforts by developing and documenting content and strategy to improve communications around its holistic programs benefiting Rung members from St. Louis metro area. As a result of the VISTA member’s service, Rung for Women will build consistent voice for communication with a variety of stakeholders, including:  potential and current supporters; potential and current members, and Rung alumni.

Objective of the Assignment (02/2022 – 02/2023)
Develop marketing copy for Rung that clearly illustrates the membership experience, program offerings, and program impact.

Member Activities: 

  • Document impact stories of Rung members to establish an impact library
  • In collaboration with all staff, develop blog posts, email newsletters, social media, and marketing print pieces
  • Document and contribute to the development of Rung’s marketing strategies for member recruitment, donor development and volunteer programs
  • Develop narrative to clearly articulate the overall Rung member experience and Career Services program for a variety of audiences

Objective of the Assignment (02/2022 – 02/2023) 

Document the standard for brand voice while building a library of brand assets, to include Rung language and standard copy and voice guidelines for internal and external communications.

Member Activities:

  • Identify characteristics of Rung’s brand voice to create a comprehensive brand guideline for staff to effectively communicate with the brand when writing
  • Develop example language and phrases to help build out the brand guidelines for staff to communicate the brand effectively.
  • Build out a brand library of member, volunteer, and donor pull quotes
  • Train Rung staff on how to utilize the brand library and brand voice guide
