Rental Reservation FAQs
How do I secure a rental reservation?
You may secure your desired event date when you sign the rental agreement and submit the non-refundable deposit. User shall pay fifty percent (50%) non-refundable deposit of the Base Premises Fee within five (5) days after full execution of the rental agreement. If the Reservation Deposit is not received by Rung by such date, this Agreement shall automatically terminate.
When is the final balance due for my rental?
The remaining balance is due in full two weeks prior to your rental date. User shall pay the balance of the Total Event Cost, less the Reservation Deposit, no later than three (3) business days prior to the Event. If any additional fees or charges are incurred in connection with the Event such as damage, such amounts will be invoiced to User following the Event, with payment due ten (10) business days after delivery of such invoice.
Inclement weather cancellations.
If Rung for Women cancels your event due to inclement weather, Rung for Women will work with you to reschedule. Any payments previously made to Rung in connection with the event will transfer to the newly rescheduled date.
What is the capacity of your rental space?
- The Community Room is 4,950 square feet and can hold 240-250 people banquet style with 6ft round tables/6-7 chairs per table and 330 people lecture style.
- The Kamala Harris Room is 1,240 square feet and can hold 60 people banquet style with 6ft round tables/6 chairs per table.
- The Frida Kahlo Room is 670 square feet and can hold 24 people classroom style and 40 people lecture style.
- The Michelle Obama Room is 900 square feet and can hold 48-50 people banquet style with 6ft round table/6 chairs per table.
Do you have preferred vendors?
Yes, please see the preferred vendors page to view a list of vendors we highly recommend. You are not required to contract our preferred vendors. Feel free to work with venders of your choice.
What table sizes do you have?
We have 6’ round tables, cocktail tables (high and low), and 6’ long tables included in your reservation. If you prefer a table / chair size we do not offer, feel free to rent tables and chairs of your choice.
Is the Catering Kitchen included in the rental?
When you rent The Community Room, the Catering Kitchen is included in your rental. You will have access to use the refrigerators, warmers, ice machine and food prep area.
Do you require a Certificate of Insurance with each rental?
Yes, a Certificate of Insurance is required with each rental agreement, evidencing that commercial general liability insurance is in place, in an amount not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 in the aggregate, including coverage for bodily injury, death, property damages, and contractual liability assumed under this Agreement, which insurance shall name Rung for Women as an additional insured.
Do you have private parking?
Parking is available surrounding the Rung for Women building on Sidney Street, Ohio Street, and in the Rung for Women dedicated private parking lot.
Do you have a Lactation Room?
Yes, we have two private Nursing Mother’s Rooms located on each floor. Each room is private and has a sink, refrigerator, microwave, comfortable chair, and a table.
Is security available during events?
Yes, evening events will require security, which is a cost that will be associated with your rental. We contract with Campbell Security. The security cost is $75 per officer/per hour. There is an additional $100 per hour fee for a patrol car to patrol the parking area surrounding the Rung for Women facility.
What is your alcohol policy?
You are allowed to hire a bartender of your choice. We will need to see proof of their valid liquor license and certificate of insurance. If alcohol is being served free of charge, such certificate of insurance must include “Host Liquor Liability” or equivalent, and if alcohol is being provided by a third-party caterer, such caterer must also provide a certificate of insurance meeting the requirements above and including $1,000,000 of liquor liability coverage.
