Each spring, a cohort of incredible women takes the next step in their career journeys by completing Rung for Women’s program here in St. Louis. Today, we’re sharing the story of Jill H., who finished the program on March 26th, 2026.
Jill entered the program ready for something different. She longed for financial stability, freedom from working multiple jobs to make ends meet, and being part of a creative team. Expanding her existing skill set was a top priority so that she could become a stronger candidate in today’s job market.
One of Jill’s acquaintances, a Rung member, mentioned how much she loved the experience. After looking into Rung, she said the program “felt like the right place to gain skills with the guidance of a career coach and a community of support.”
During her time at Rung, she gained new expertise in digital marketing and e-commerce. “Every experience I have had at Rung has played a part in setting me up for success,” she told us. She discovered transferable skills she already had and worked to strengthen them, making herself a more desirable candidate.
And it worked—Jill recently began a brand-new position with Nestlé Purina, the major pet care company based in St. Louis! She felt well prepared for the interview due to her experience at Rung, attributing her success to career attainment coaching and the simulations offered to members. These simulations are an integral part of our program, allowing members to practice skills like networking, productive collaboration, and effective communication.
When asked about the changes she’s seen in herself since joining Rung, she said, “I have more confidence. I have more joy in my life and I feel inspired.”
We are proud to support members like Jill throughout their journey in our program. We can’t wait to see what she accomplishes in her new role at Nestlé Purina and beyond!
