Spring 2023 member Candice Wilson joined Rung after months of seeing a segment on TV and a post on social media. She finally took heed and signed, completed the Member Interest Form, and went through the process of becoming a member, being accepted into the Rung program just in time for the fourth cohort. Now that Candice is halfway through her coaching and training, this is what she has to say about her Rung for Women experience.

What have you found most rewarding about your Rung journey?

Everything! I am not exaggerating when I say everything. I have taken full advantage of my membership, honey! I love the way I feel when I see my sisters–Charismatic Group C! (the name for the group of friends she made in ProPS)

How has Rung helped you with your career goals?

I have redefined the process I use to evaluate myself. Progress, not perfection, has allowed me to achieve way more than I thought possible. I see a new perspective every morning. The possibilities are truly endless, and I will continue my journey forward.

What career were you in before you became a Rung member? How has your life changed?

I am and will always be an educator. I am a coder, a web/software developer, and an entrepreneur. I became a mentor during the summer, and I plan on moving forward with this new venture.

What would you say to a woman who wants to join Rung as a member?

You are in for a treat! Stay in the race. Tell people that you joined a program that will encourage you, clap for you, and even push you forward. The drive has to come from you. If you’re hungry for something better than what’s being served to you, let’s go get it!

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

Five years from now, I know my son will be living in my house, and I will be living in my second house. Money will not be an issue because I will be able to pay all the bills and save monthly. My children will have an allowance for their chores and just because. My cars will all be paid off.

My retirement fund will be paid up to match my age. My job won’t be a job. It will be an exciting position that gives me energy daily. In five years, I fully expect to be light years ahead of where I am now because Rung has changed my way of thinking completely. Those SMART goals are a part of project management. I make them now. I understand more than I ever realized. Thank you so very much for the opportunity to be transparent and share my experiences.

Candice is gaining momentum, and we look forward to continuing to watch her soar and thrive. We will keep you updated on her progress.
