Rung offers a 14-month comprehensive economic empowerment program for working women looking to start a career in a growing industry. The program provides:

• Technical Skills Training to help you pivot into a new career in Technology or Advanced Manufacturing.
• Professional Development in group and 1-on-1 coaching settings to support you in developing the mindset and skills to secure a job and advance your career long-term.
• Financial Education and coaching, including debt reduction and wealth creation planning.
• Comprehensive Wellness, including free on-site childcare and meals while in programming, wellness coaching, counseling services, yoga, on-site gym access, fresh garden produce, access to primary care at our onsite clinic and a supportive community of like-minded women.

Rung is a career accelerator specifically designed for working women who are making less than $50,000/yr. Members receive free training and support to begin a new career in a growing industry, an opportunity to deepen their professional skills, expand their network and to build their confidence along the way. We are looking for women who are driven and able to be successful in independent on-line learning as well as benefit from community resources and support.

• Members are given support to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence that will help them create and execute their personal strategic job search.
• During their job search, members receive 1:1 coaching, resume and interview workshops as well as employer informational sessions to foster connections.

Members commit to a 14-month program with a requirement of about 10 hours a week (this includes 1 required weeknight on-site at Rung, as well as independent work and study time).

While there is no out-of-pocket cost, we want to be clear that becoming a member of Rung is a TIME-COMMITMENT cost. We are looking for women who are dedicated and ready to show up for themselves and their future.

To be eligible for membership, you must meet the following requirements:

• 25 years of age or older
• Identify as a woman
• Personal annual income that does not exceed $50,000
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
• High school diploma or GED
• Desire to gain skills toward a new career in one of our career tracks
• Able to invest 10 hrs. a week (this includes 1 required weeknight on-site at Rung, as well as independent work and study time)
• Have stable housing and ability to regularly access Rung’s campus in South St. Louis City
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

We know that women are busy and that starting something new can feel out of reach. Our program is specifically designed to support working women by offering training that is free of cost, offered during evening hours, with childcare and meal support. • We are currently offering 4 Skills Track options:
  • IT Support- Launch your career in technology by learning the foundations of computer hardware and software, cloud storage, networking and coding.
  • Digital Marketing– Utilize your creativity to learn digital marketing foundations that will help you stand out and connect people with products and services they need.
  • Project Management- Learn leadership and organizational foundations that will help you effectively manage others toward goals and execute projects from start to finish.
  • Data Analytics- Learn the foundations of data analysis, visualization and reporting to identify patterns, solve problems and help organizations make data-driven decisions.
• These career tracks were chosen based on the following criteria:
  • These are all current growing industries in the greater St. Louis area with a variety of employers who are looking for new talent.
  • These tracks offer opportunities to begin a new, lucrative career without the requirement of a 4-year degree.
  • Entry-level roles in these industries begin with a competitive starting wage and benefits.
  • These industries offer huge potential for on-going career advancement and growth.

• We offer a Spring and a Fall cohort each year.
• The first step for application is to click the “Get Started” button on the website and complete the “Member Interest Form” to confirm your eligibility and join our email list. You will automatically begin to receive monthly email updates to inform you about upcoming events and application cycle dates.
• When applications open, interested candidates will first need to attend a Membership Overview Session at Rung to learn about the program. Attendees will then receive the full application which consists of an assessment, video question responses and an application form.

Our program is designed for women who are currently making less than $50,000. Our goal is that women who have received training and support through Rung, are equipped to apply for entry level roles in technology or advanced manufacturing. Market research shows that starting roles in these industries typically pay between $40,000- $48,000 with benefits and opportunities for long-term career advancement and salary increases.
